- Before, we had no idea why our dog was coughing or making this noise a few times a year. Every time our dog has this episode, he has no appetite but is still active. We sent him to our vet in Europe, but the Doctor seemed unable to find the reason. But our vet there in Prague is excellent and good, and always helps us when we need them.:) When we arrived in the States, our dog had 3times episodes already, and finally our Vet here figured out why our dog is making this noise. Our great vet clinic, a great doctor, finds out why. Because we have no clue at all that our dog is prone to tonsillitis. Our vet discovered that our dog's tonsillitis is swollen and needs to be adequately treated. Now our pup is healed and doing well, and once this episode comes again, we know why and how to treat it better.
