Video Description
"In today's video, I go over the painting details, brand of paints, brand of mohair, etc. that I used in order to create the doll in the video. The doll in the video is Pickle sculpted by Nikki Johnston. In the beginning of the video, I inserted a small clip where I try to describe how important lighting is for presenting reborn doll art work - whether it is your own work or reborn dolls that you have purchased for your collection. In my opinion and years of experience, I believe the best way to show what a reborn doll really looks like is to used natural daylight light. In other words, light coming direct from the sun. No camera flash. No fancy lights. Natural light allows you to show what the doll looks like in real life. And, that is the whole point of all this. I have made 2 videos with Pickle. This one. And, the one released last week. If you would like to see the one from last week, please click the link below: https://youtu.be/frEYRir-89o If you are interested in lighting and showcasing your work in the best light, pay attention to the lighting in these 2 different videos. Notice how different lighting (or light intensities) changes the presentation of color in the doll. Presentation matters! Especially if you want to capture the true coloring of your artwork. You always want to use the best lighting when doing photos or videos. Pay attention in your own home when the best light comes around. Timing also matters! And, that light also changes quickly. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video. If you have any questions for me or you would like to share any thoughts, please feel free to leave them in the comment section below. I appreciate your time. " ~Jackie Ortiz Frequently Asked Questions: Do I take custom orders? I am extremely delighted and honored that you have considered me as the potential artist of a special art piece for you. However, I am no longer opened for custom work. And unfortunately, that wont be changing. If you are interested in one of my artworks, you'll have to pay attention to my social medias when I announce a new doll is available for purchase. I am very sorry. I know so many of you are wanting to do a private order with me, but unfortunately, I cannot make that happen. I hope you can understand.
