- Originality is great for fighting game movesets, but sometimes the most unique thing a character does is copy. I’ve discussed “move stealers” before, who can temporarily take moves from their opponent and other characters, or have a moveset that’s an amalgamation of other characters’ moves, but what about characters that just randomly pick full movesets of other characters with no differentiation? These characters tend to be called Mimic Characters. I want to go over my favorite mimic concepts. Since their movesets are completely recycled, I’m mostly ranking on their general flavor, but still, the presentation of a mimic can make them just as iconic as the rest of the roster.
