But as believers, we will tend to carry a burden of guilt because we fully haven’t accepted the grace that God has truly given us. You deserve grace! Don’t allow the enemy to cause to feel worried and be ashamed. You receiving Grace, is a gift that is freely given by God. 2. Just like you are called to forgive others who hurt you, you just also forgive yourself after repenting. Dwelling on your past mistakes, will cause you to feel empty and disappointed. Holding onto guilt can be a sign of pride, as if your own self- punishment is more meaningful than God’s complete forgiveness. True humility is acknowledging your wrong but also hunky accepting God’s mercy Romans 8:1 3. When you are living your life for Jesus Christ, your old life has passed away. When you find yourself worrying about your past, that is a sign that your focus is still on who you would rather it to be than on your own identify in Christ. Focusing on past failures can blind you to the good things that God is doing in your life. Be thankful in all your circumstances! 4. While sin is always wrong, God can redeem all your mistakes and use them for good. When you do continue to worry, you may be resisting the lessons that God has for you. The Bible is full of stories of people who made great mistakes, but were redeemed by God, such as David, Peter, and Paul. But the failures were not the final word of their life!
